Innoson Motors is one of Nigeria’s reliable car brands and has enjoyed massive patronage from both private individuals and the government.
Amid the mixed reactions generated by the news, the company, through its verified social media handle, spoke against the claim stating that it was fake and that the company remains Nigerian and will continue to operate in Nigeria. This statement doused tensions, and some began to wonder who sponsored such fake news to bring down Chief Innocent’s thriving business.
According to pundits, the fake story may have emanated from those who are afraid of Innoson Motors’ growing influence in the auto business. The company, which has started exporting its cars to neighboring African countries, has begun to attract hatred from naysayers who never believed that Nigerian-made cars could be reliable, durable, and comfortable.
A source further disclosed that the way and manner in which the fake news was churned out and promoted suggests that someone is definitely afraid of Chief Innocent and his brand gaining such a large share of Nigeria’s auto business.
