President Bola Tinubu has left Kigali, Rwanda, bound for Nigeria’s capital, Abuja, marking the end of a diplomatic journey that took him through France, Kenya, and Rwanda.
Footage circulating on social media captured the presidential jet lifting off from Kigali International Airport as the President wrapped up his overseas engagements and headed home.
During the trip, Tinubu participated in the 2026 Africa-France Summit and the 13th Africa CEO Forum, rubbing shoulders with fellow African heads of state, senior government officials, and top business leaders from across the globe.
The visit was packed with bilateral discussions centered on economic collaboration, attracting foreign investment, and forging strategic partnerships between African nations and global stakeholders.
His stops in Kenya and Rwanda were particularly significant, reflecting the Tinubu administration’s broader push to deepen Nigeria’s diplomatic footprint on the continent and drum up support for the country’s development agenda.
On the sidelines of the Africa CEO Forum in Kigali, Tinubu also addressed a panel session where he turned the spotlight on Africa’s youth population. The President warned that young Nigerians — who he described as dynamic, restless, and unwilling to accept excuses — must be properly empowered and positioned to seize emerging opportunities. He candidly acknowledged that failure to harness their energy and potential could cost him at the polls.
