The Yoruba film industry has been thrown into mourning following reports of the death of actor and comedian, Adeshina Okiki Oshin, widely known as Janmole.
The news of his passing emerged on June 1 after an Ibadan-based radio station shared the announcement on social media, sparking widespread reactions across Nollywood and among fans.
In a Facebook post, the station described Janmole as a versatile entertainer whose talent and contributions to Yoruba filmmaking would be fondly remembered.
“Heartbreaking news hits the Yoruba movie industry as multi-talented actor, filmmaker, and comedian Adeshina Okiki Oshin, popularly known as Janmole, has reportedly passed away,” the post stated.
The station also extended condolences to his family, friends, the people of Okeho, and members of the wider Nollywood community.
