FIFA-licensed football agent and sports branding expert Dr Drew Uyi has been named a major speaker at the Africa Football Business Summit 2026, holding in Accra, Ghana, from October 22 to 23.
Uyi, Founder and Managing Director of DD Eleven Group Ltd, will join football executives, industry professionals and other stakeholders at the two-day summit, set for the Alisa Hotel in Accra.
Organisers, the Football Foundation for Africa, described Uyi as a professional working across player representation, athlete branding and commercial development. The British-Nigerian, who is registered with the Football Association in England, has worked with professional footballers, coaches and clubs on transfers, contract negotiations, endorsements and commercial deals.
His session in Ghana is expected to focus on the commercial development and international visibility of African football talent.
A central theme of this year’s summit is how African football can capture more of the economic value generated by homegrown players, while building opportunities beyond the pitch. Uyi has long pushed for stronger personal branding and commercial positioning for African athletes, insisting they be developed as marketable global brands and not just sporting talents.
Organisers say his background at the crossroads of representation and branding will feed into talks on a more commercially sustainable African football ecosystem.
Announcing his participation, the Football Foundation for Africa said he was joining “to contribute to the conversation on building a football economy where African talent creates greater value — on and beyond the pitch.”
The Africa Football Business Summit 2026 holds at Alisa Hotel, Accra, from October 22 to 23, bringing together leading voices in African football’s business, investment and commercial future.
