Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has appointed four officials to head key positions in the state’s power, road, airport and transport sectors.
The appointments were announced on Tuesday evening in a statement issued in Ado Ekiti by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode.
According to the statement, Philip Atere is now Technical Adviser on Power Infrastructure, while Tope Fatukasi will serve as Technical Adviser on Road Infrastructure.
Retired Air Vice Marshal Sunday Makinde was named Technical Adviser on Airport matters, and Tajudeen Alingbolu is the new Director-General of the Ekiti State Transport Agency.
The state government said the appointments take immediate effect and are aimed at strengthening efforts to improve critical sectors of the state’s economy.
The announcement came hours after Oyebanji swore in the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro, and the Chief of Staff, Oyeniyi Adebayo, for another term in office.
At the ceremony, the governor urged both officials to draw on their experience from his first administration in their new roles.
He warned that his second term would demand a higher level of commitment, discipline and accountability from government officials, stressing that he would not tolerate poor performance.
