Over the past few months, many top politicians in the country have been defecting from one party to another in search for a favourable greener pasture, the political game is looking tough, ahead of the next general election holding in 2019. Earlier this week, at the All Progressive Congress (APC) caucus meeting, which was held at Aso rock, saw many political pundit surprised as, two time Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governor, of Oil rich Delta state, Emmanuel Uduaghan, present at the APC meeting.
It’s no longer news that; Emmanuel Uduaghan has officially defected to the APC but that’s not the shocker. It’s no story that, former Delta Governor, James Ibori, is also a key board member of the PDP as well as a political mentor to Emmanuel Uduaghan and the incumbent Governor Ifeayin Okowa.
According to a close source who told CITYSPY that; ”Chief James Ibori will be defecting to the APC with his massive supporters next month. He was jailed by the PDP for money laundry but was released by the APC Government which is a sign that; He must repay back the kind gesture by the APC to deliver the south-south for President Buhari in 2019.”
The source further affirmed that; ”Chief Ibori is currently doing some underground consultation with his supporters and he has been persuaded severally by top APC party chieftain, knowing well that; his political clout in the south-south region can’t be overlooked. When Ibori was in prison, He installed Governor Okowa, so this shows his political clout. All hands are on deck as the APC is ready to host a mega defection ceremony for the political juggernaut.”
