The axiom which states that; “Charity begins at home” is definitely what drives the chairman of Forte Oil PLC, Femi Otedola till date. In that light, its right to say despite his financial status and position in the business and societal radar, the philanthropist still wears his garment of humility laced with respect for culture and tradition. Femi showed the world his humble upbringing; how he well taught and trained by his mother Lady Doja and his father late Sir Micheal Otedola former Governor of Lagos.
“FO is a cool guy whom despite his wealth, he is not cash drunk.” a source revealed to CITYSPY. Last Night 15th of March, Femi accompanied by his friends, paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Kano HRM Sanusi Lamido Sanusi’s palace. To the surprise of many presents, Femi prostrated to greet the reverend monarch not minding their cordial relationship as friends. Femi literally drew a long line between friendship, culture and tradition.
Those who were present confessed that; ‘Femi’s action was so overwhelming as his action accorded him more respect. FO is said to be following the teaching of the Bible in Luke 14 vs 11 which states that; “For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”
