………..Says Best Species of Fulani’s Abode in Iwo………
The Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has made it known that; Iwoland, South-West Osun State, has the best species of herdsmen, assuring peaceful, symbiotic co-existence between them and their host. He described the relative peace and mutual understanding between the Yoruba and the Fulani’s in his domain as enviable, saying Iwo is ready to host willing repentant herdsmen.
Oba Akanbi stated Iwoland is the highest host of Fulani herdsmen men in Osun State. Oluwo assured farmers in Iwoland of mutual understanding with herdsmen, saying he is making arrangement to revisit his education of the Fulani’s on ranching management. He said the potent dosage for Yoruba-Fulani peaceful co-existence is in Iwo. He assured the good, willing and repentant herdsmen to visit his palace as he promised to properly integrate them with the Seriki Fulani of Iwoland.
Oluwo said he visited the Fulani’s in his domain because he felt the pain caused by the bad to the good ones among them. He disclosed his recent visit to Odo Oba, Iwo as necessary to renew the bilateral trust and orientate them on new side to cattle raising. He pointed years of neglect in the bush without advantage of social amenities should be addressed by the government.
A statement made available to newsmen by Oluwo’s press secretary, Alli Ibraheem, reads “I’m different because I love discussing solutions. You don’t throw a bad child with the water you use in bathing the child. The space is too delicate to declare war. Let’s consider the good as against the black sheep among the Fulani’s. Iwo Remains the highest host of Fulani herdsmen in Osun State.”
“The bad eggs among the Fulani’s should be fished out and prosecuted. As a natural paramount ruler, I can’t justly fight the good ones I have in my domain. Their grandparents were born here. The bilateral symbiotic relationship is lubricating a peaceful co-existence. I want more of the pure minded, progressive and honest herdsmen in my domain. I’ve even advised them to start sending their children to school and embrace modern means of cattle rearing. Repentant Fulani herdsmen, should relocate to my domain.”
“The innocent and repentant Fulani herdsmen are welcomed to my palace. I will host, orientate and properly integrate them. I’ve orientated these Fulani’s severally. I visit them frequently to ensure harmonious living. Their Seriki reports to me on a weekly basis. The affinity has been established mutually. I need more of the good type in my domain. I’ve the dosage of peace between Yoruba’s and Fulani’s.”
“I therefore want to reiterate that; government should inaugurate a special intervention fund for the core grassroots dwellers cutting across all tribes. The beneficiaries should be exclusively meant for grassroots dwellers”
