President Muhammadu Buhari after meeting with the federal executive council and members of his cabinet, approved the appointment of Major General Farouk Yahaya as the new Chief of Army Staff. His appointment comes with immediate effect and he is being saddled with the responsibility of tackling issues of insecurity within the country. His appointment comes after the immediate past chief of army staff Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru Died in a plane crash with 10 others last week.
