After handing over to Charles Soludo as the new Governor of Anambra state, immediate past Governor Willie Obiano was said to have been arrested and whisked away by men of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC after he lost his immunity on handing over to his successor today in Anambra state.
Ex-Governor Wille was said to have been on the watch list of the EFCC over financial mismanagement among other crimes leveled against him. Sources disclosed that; Obiano was arrested at about 8;30pm today at the Muritala Mohamed Airport on his way to board a flight to the United States of America for holiday. He was apprehended and taken out the airport to an unknown destination. “His trial will commence soon as investigations that indict him have since surfaced before the end of his tenure” The source further added.
