A representative from Buhari’s family explained that this postponement allows for better planning to accommodate dignitaries and international mourners, ensuring that adequate security measures are in place ahead of the burial ceremony in Daura, Katsina State. This location holds significant personal and cultural importance, as it is Buhari’s hometown.
President Bola Tinubu, along with former heads of state and various foreign leaders, are anticipated to attend the funeral rites, reflecting the high regard in which Buhari was held both domestically and internationally.
