
When Mo’hits Records was disbanded 6 years ago, many of their strong fans were not happy as the onetime formidable record label, which houses superstars like; Dbanj, Donjazzy, Wande Coal, D’prince, K’Switch and Dr Sid, dominating the industry for years, with their individual albums and singles won’t be seen performing together as a group.
After several years together as business partners, two pillars of the label opted to try a solo career. Donjazzy founded Mavin Records and Dbanj also founded DB Records. The two record labels were the talk of the town; thus, breaking new grounds in the music industry with their Midas touch and wealth of experience gathered over the years. A huge amount of their teeming fans have been yearning to see the duo of Dbanj and Donjazzy perform together, bringing back that perfect musical chemistry.
Late last year, Popstar Davido shocked the Nigeria music scene, when he introduced defunct Mo’hits all-star crew to do a joint performance at his 30 Billion Concert in Lagos. When the crew took center stage, they ignited redolent memories of the past. They performed tracks from their joint album and singles. Davido literally quenched the thirst of the Mo’hits fans who were willing to see them perform together. The performance became a trending topic on the cyberspace. Davido received accolades for bringing back the musical crew to perform together.
In a bid to forge ahead, and also quench the thirst of their teeming fans, Donjazzy took to his Instagram page, posted a Koko Diary video, announcing their new proposed tour across Nigeria and Africa. The long-awaited tour, we learnt; will feature top musical artiste and other alumni of defunct Mo’hits and Mavin records.
