Otunba Gani Adams, is the National coordinator of the factional Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC). His unwavering influence and massive followership within the south west region of Nigeria has given birth to the new Oodua Peoples Union (OPU), being launched across the world.
Otunba Gani is a well decorated with many chieftaincy titles both home and abroad. The Arigidi-Akoko born respected man, is set to add another feather to his already filled cap.
CITYSPY gathered that Otunba Gani is set to be conferred with the highest title in Yoruba history ‘The Aare Ona Kankanfo’ (The Generalissimo of Yoruba Race). The title was last occupied by late Billionaire business mogul and the self acclaimed winner of the annulled June 12 1993 presidential election, Moshood Kashimawo Abiola (MKO), and its has since remained vacant nineteen years ago since his demise.
A close source to Otunba Gani disclosed to CITYSPY that; ”Otunba Gani Adams would soon be conferred with the title. Before accepting to obey the clarion call, He went through series of consultation with his family members and OPC union members before finally accepting to take up the highly coveted Yoruba title”. The title would be conferred on him by the Alafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III as the conferment ceremony date is yet to be disclosed.
