Many Lagosian and political observers are wondering where the genesis of the relationship between Governor of Lagos Akinwunmi Ambode and The late sage, and premier of the defunct western region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo lies.
But the truth of the matter still remains that the Lagos Governor hugely benefited from the late sage policy in the defunct western region.
CITYSPY gathered that, When Governor Ambode was growing up, he has always been a strong admirer of the late sage, thus, enjoyed his free education policy which made Ambode a product of what he is today, as an accomplished chattered accountant and Governor of Lagos.
As his love for the ‘Awoist Ideology’ keeps waxing stronger, Ambode in his turn is set to pay back for the good gesture by appreciating the late sage for impacting his life positively. The Governor on Tuesday the 26th, will be unveiling a standing 20 feet tall architectural statue of the late sage at the significant spot of LTV round about bustop, Ikeja. The Governor had earlier this year order the removal of the old statue erected on Allen Bus-top. Ambode will on Tuesday be joined by top government dignitaries, Lagos state officials, Awoist, and the Awolowo family to officially unveil the gigantic befitting statue.
