His sojourn
to stardom started when he posted a snippet of his piano freestyle on
Instagram, his vocal prowess caught the attention of Davido who called him up
and signed him as an artiste under his DMW music label. The young lad went
ahead to drop his first track under the DMW label imprint, trust me, it went
platinum, as he was like a fresh gust of summer wind in the industry. The song gained massive rotation on every radio platform and trended on social
media. The debut video of the song hit millions of views on YouTube making it
the biggest view of a debut artiste video.

Not relenting on the success of his debut song,
Mayorkun shamed his critic that his talent and success, so far, is not a fluke but
by sheer dint of hard work. He did a follow-up with a song titled ‘SADE’, ‘PRAYER’
ft DAVIDO and his waves making song ‘MAMA’. Mayorkun has proved to the world that
he is talented and a force to reckon with trust me he would be making the ‘NEXT
RATED’ nomination list for this years HEADIES AWARD having won rookie of the year category at the 2016 edition of the award.

Raised in the suburb part of Lagos, Bariga, he was
inspired by some street slang which gave birth to his first track that placed
him on the spot light ‘Yes Melo’ where he later featured Olamide in the remix.
Dotman kept pressing hard to see that breakthrough as he penned a record deal
with U & I music. After sleepless night of hard work, to score a hit that
will take his career to the next level, he dropped ‘Fine girl’, ‘Blessings’ and
‘Respeck’. The following songs were songs that did well but was not enough to
place Dotman in the heart of his teeming fans. Mid 2016, he dropped ‘Akube’ a
track that changed his story as the song went viral gaining massive airplay
both on radio and the video got massive rotation both on cable and terrestrial
Tv.

With a follow up to the new year he dropped ‘Escobar’, featuring Davido, ‘My woman’ and ‘Afro Girl’
featuring Mr EAZI. Dotman placed his name in the lips of music lovers. His sound
was more matured, his flows also tight and his grind in the industry took a new
shape as he performs in top shows and concerts. He is currently on a University
campus tour which is part of his plans to end the year in a successful note.
Today in the list of the ‘Next rated Artiste’, Dotman can’t be missing as 2017
has been a great year for the lad. Trust me, his midas touch has made him a force
to reckon with as he is looking forward to churn out good music to revamp the face
of the music industry.
