According to the Singing senator, He made an important observation by blowing a whistle on how Kogi state government under the leadership of youthful Governor Yahyah Bello and S.A on security to the Governor Jerry Omolara are importing some prohibited Military items into the country through the Apapa seaport.
The Nigeria custom service taskforce team through Apapa seaport intercepted some items allegedly imported into the country belonging to Kogi State Government. The items recovered were; 100 military uniform jackets, 26 military jungle booth, 20 plastic knives, 24 black bulletproof vest, 28 black boxing gloves, 26 pieces of artic hunter bag, 40 pieces of training mat, 20 pieces of black baton, 100 pieces of black t-shirt, 31 pieces of protective glass, 25 pieces of black sunglass, 29 black uniform belts.
Senator Dino Melaye quickly took to his Instagram page to unravel the mystery behind the whistle he blew; He wrote “I raised a point of Order today that Kogi State Govt imported prohibited items. Military Uniforms,bullet proof vest,night vision goggles, tactical boots, military belts etc. A committee was set up immediately and they proceeded to the Airport. Jerry Omolara SA security to Kogi State Governor is involved. Kogi is in trouble. But God is above man.”
