Emmanuel Obasi, the former husband of Nollywood actress Judy Austin, has once again opened up about the painful collapse of their marriage, alleging that his ex-wife was romantically involved with actor Yul Edochie while they were still married and living together.
Speaking on the Honest Bunch Podcast, an emotional Obasi displayed photographs from his wedding to Judy as he recounted the events that led to their separation. According to him, the couple were married and had two children before the union fell apart around 2013.
Obasi claimed that during their marriage, Judy frequently expressed admiration for Yul Edochie whenever he appeared on television, often telling him directly that she loved the actor. He alleged that the two were already in a relationship while Judy was still living under his roof, claiming he has evidence to back this up.
In his words: “I’m the former husband to Judy Austin (Yul Edochie’s wife), we have 2 children together, wetin man do man? Anytime we were watching TV and Yul Edochie appears, Judy won’t concentrate anymore, she’ll be telling me to my face that she loves Yul and be praising him, I have evidence that they were dating under my roof.”
Obasi also spoke about the toll the failed marriage has taken on him, saying the emotional pain has lingered for years. He further lamented that he has had little to no contact with his two children for over a decade, describing the situation as deeply distressing.
Judy Austin went on to become Yul Edochie’s second wife years after her marriage to Obasi ended.
