Olori Atuwatse III, the Queen Consort of the Warri Kingdom, will be featured on CNN’s African Voices Changemakers in recognition of her contributions to education, healthcare, women’s empowerment and community development.
The programme, scheduled to air between July 11 and July 19, will spotlight the initiatives she has led through the Royal Iwere Foundation (RIF), highlighting the foundation’s efforts to improve lives across the Warri Kingdom.
Through the foundation, Olori Atuwatse III has championed teacher training programmes, science and innovation projects, vocational skills development, healthcare interventions and initiatives designed to expand educational and economic opportunities for women, children and underserved communities.
The foundation has also awarded scholarships to students, with a special focus on increasing access to education for girls and supporting academic excellence.
As part of its economic empowerment drive, the Royal Iwere Foundation established the Skills Institute, which provides women and young people with vocational training, entrepreneurship support and practical skills to enhance their livelihoods.
Beyond her philanthropic work, Olori Atuwatse III serves on Nigeria’s High-Level Advisory Committee on Women’s Economic Empowerment and Gender, where she contributes to policy discussions aimed at advancing opportunities for women across the country.
She has also participated in several national and international engagements focused on education, leadership and the advancement of women.
