Big Brother Naija star Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has reportedly been arrested by the Nigerian Police Force.
The arrest was disclosed by Nollywood producer and CEO of Best of Nollywood (BON), Seun Oloketuyi, in an Instagram post on Sunday.
According to Oloketuyi, operatives picked Tacha up early Sunday morning at her Ajah residence after she failed to honour three separate police invitations issued between May and August 2026 by the NPF’s National Cybercrime Centre (NCCC).
“Tacha has been arrested today by NPF,” the post read, adding that she had ignored the invitations “until she was picked up at her residence early this morning at her Ajah residence.”
The reality star’s arrest is reportedly linked to allegations that she made false claims online accusing an unidentified man of trafficking young Nigerians to Europe under the guise of scholarship offers. In a viral video, Tacha also branded the man a rapist and child molester, warning the public to be wary of him.
The development comes months after Tacha opened up about the role her late mother played in shaping her career. In an earlier interview with Daily Sun, she credited her mother’s hard work and faith for pushing her toward success in entertainment and business, saying she still strives to make her proud.
Efforts to reach the police for confirmation had not yielded a response as of the time of this report.
