The body of an unidentified man has been discovered in a drainage channel along Admiralty Way in Lekki, Lagos, sparking concern among residents.
The body was spotted in the early hours of Monday, October 5, 2026, in the gutter just before the Freedom Way junction.
The deceased is believed to be in his mid-forties. His identity and the circumstances surrounding his death remain unknown, and it is unclear whether he was killed by a hit-and-run driver.
Residents and other members of the public have appealed to the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit (SEHMU) to remove the body without delay to avoid a public health risk.
At the time of filing this report, there was no official statement from the authorities on the incident.
