Nigerian businessman Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD, has celebrated the release of his partner, Blessing CEO, from detention.
IVD marked the moment by sharing a video of her on his TikTok page, captioned: “We enter lion’s den but lion no chop us.”
Nollywood actress and politician Doris Ogala earlier confirmed the development in a video call shared on social media. In an Instagram post on Saturday, she wrote, “Blessing CEO is finally out; thank you, Jesus.”
Blessing CEO’s release follows months in custody over three separate fraud-related cases filed against her by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The influencer was arraigned in June 2026 over allegations involving property transactions and donations collected after she reportedly claimed to be battling stage four breast cancer. The cases involve alleged sums of ₦36 million, ₦69.15 million and ₦13 million. She pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
Her release comes weeks after she confirmed the death of her second son, Bryan Onyedikachi, who died while she was in custody. In a phone conversation with Ogala, she denied authorising Amira Agiye to announce his death. She also denied soliciting financial assistance to meet her bail conditions, insisting that she was best placed to break the news herself, not a stranger.
