Ikoyi club has a tradition of celebrating its anniversary every year, an avenue that not just celebrate the members but also allows the club to look back at its progress in the previous year and also contribute immensely to the society in various ways such as the club’s annual charity visits to the less-privileged homes as well as the anniversary lecture, which afford them the opportunity to contribute to the discourse in the society and possibly proffer solutions.
CITYSPY gathered that ,this years anniversary has been colourful and impactful so far with series of activities being reeled out. On Thursday 28th of September, The Club organised an anniversary lecture, with the topic: Nigeria’s Economic Diversification – The Role of Agriculture for Sustainable Wealth Creation. It was hosted by the Lagos state Governor Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode. The Minister of Agriculture, Audu Ogbeh was a guest speaker while the Chairman/Keynote speaker was the Chairman Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote. The grand finale of the Club’s anniversary will round off with a dinner party on today September 30. The guest artiste, Sugar Band is set to dish out powerful musical rendition to add more spice to the day.
