Business Mogul and Capital oil head honcho, Dr Patrick Ifeayin Ubah has tried to contest for the Anambra state Governorship seat twice. His first attempt was in 2014, When he was the Labour Party Flag bearer, on his second attempt, he was booted out of the People’s Democratic Party PDP primary race, when Oseloka Obaze, won the election to be the party’s flag bearer last year.
The Authority Newspaper boss and many others, felt cheated with the outcome of the election, as they pointed out to lots of discrepancies. The anambra state born philanthropist, openly challenge the out come of the result. To put him on check, the PDP suspended him for gross misconduct. Before the governorship election last year, he defected to the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), where he threw his support behind the incumbent governor, Willie Obiano, who eventually won to return as Governor for the second time.
During his stay at APGA, Ifeayin has been doing some underground consultation to vie for a seat at the hallowed upper National Assembly. According to close source who divulged that; ”Ubah has been doing several underground consultations, he has declared his intention to contest for Anambra South senatorial district in 2019. He has received positive nod from royal fathers and his constituents.”
His dreams to occupy the red chambers is becoming crystal clear and fruitful, not until a dark cloud suddenly surfaced. According to information, Ifeayin Ubah won’t be finding it easy as Bianca Ojukwu, former Ambassador to Spain during, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan regime, has also showed her interest to vie for same senatorial seat in the same party.
It’s no news that; APGA was formed by late Chief
Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Bianca being his wife of the former Biafra leader, stand a better chance to scoop the party’s senatorial ticket. The light-skinned former ambassador, is currently not having the best of times. She is facing stiff opposition that might also stall her dream of contesting for the senatorial seat.
