Former Vice President and African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has expanded his campaign team with the appointment of two new aides as preparations for the 2027 general election gather momentum.
The appointments were announced on Wednesday in a statement issued by the Atiku Media Office.
According to the statement, Alhaji Aliyu Bello has been appointed as Senior Special Assistant on Community Engagement, while Dr. Victor Moses will serve as Special Assistant on Community Engagement.
The media office described Bello as an experienced journalist, entrepreneur, international trader, and grassroots politician with a strong background in leadership and youth development. He holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication and has earned professional certifications in Leadership and Business Management.
Bello previously served two terms as the Kaduna State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Youth Leader, where he championed youth participation in politics. He also held the position of Financial Secretary of the Kaduna PDP before joining the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The statement added that Bello’s experience in journalism, business, politics, and community engagement would help strengthen grassroots structures and encourage greater youth involvement in the party’s activities.
Dr. Victor Moses was also praised for his extensive experience in strategic communication, public affairs, political mobilisation, behavioural research, and grassroots engagement spanning nearly two decades.
A holder of a Ph.D. in Psychology, Moses has served as the National Publicity Secretary of the Atiku Support Organisation (ASO) since 2021, where he played a significant role in stakeholder engagement and mobilisation efforts across the country.
Congratulating the new appointees, Atiku expressed confidence in their ability to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of the campaign’s objectives and the shared vision of the team ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
