Mrs. Nkoyo Rapu is the founder of Bethesda Child Support Agency, a non-profit, non-governmental organisation since 2001. Bethesda Child Support since its inception, has touched enormous lives of over 3000 children through free qualitative education scheme. So far, 9 of the children are now University graduates. Bethesda provides free education to less-privileged children through its four schools located at Ikota, Ijaiye-Ojokoro, Matogun and Bariga axis, basking on the support of its ever generous and kind-hearted Sponsors and Partners.
In her quest to keep putting smiles on the faces of the less-privileged children by giving them an early charismas surprise, Bethesda organised a Christmas Party which took place on December 16, 2017 at The Dome grounds, Lekki Phase 1. The smiles on the faces of the children were priceless and could easily move you to tears as they enjoyed to the very best of treats like, popcorn, candy floss, delicious meals and some soft drinks. There were also bouncy castles and train rides which made The Dome grounds look like a paradise for little children.
Speaking at the Christmas party, the Founder of Bethesda Child Support Agency, Mrs. Nkoyo Rapu, said that, “This marks another opportunity for us to thank God for all He has been doing for Bethesda and celebrate the children. We are committed to developing children that would contribute significantly to the development of Nigeria. We therefore urge individuals and corporate bodies to support this initiative”.

After the Christmas Party, there was an official unveiling of Backpacks and School Sandals which was part of The Bethesda Back-to-School drive. The Back-to-School drive was an initiative to give school materials to Bethesda children so as to further facilitate swift learning process. The initiative was driven as various Bethesda Partners, Sponsors and Donors collaborated as they saw the importance to equip the children with necessary materials to aid quick learning.
Over 800 children were gifted backpacks which contained a lot of gifts like note pads, writing materials, LEGO toys and beautiful brown leather sandals among many others. The glee could be spotted on each child’s face from a mile away as they crowed each other with excitement to show off their new gifts. The event rounded off around 6pm and everyone could agree especially the children that it was an event full of memories that won’t be forgotten in a hurry.
