Hajia Bola Shagaya is not new to the business and societal radar. The billionaire businesswoman was one of the close ally of the then President Goodluck Jonathan administration. She is a close confidant of former first lady Patience Jonathan. After the Jonathan administration in 2015, Hajia has opted for a lowkey lifestyle; however, showing her core allegiance and loyalty to her benefactor.
Hajia rarely attends public events and even if she attends, she always shy away from paparazzi cameras in other to maintain a private life. She has also refused to throw any big shindig even on her birthdays. According to a close source who divulged to CITYSPY that; “Hajia would not throw any high octane birthday party until she hit age 60in few years time.”
Hajia’s son with Prince Shina Bakare; Seun Bakare and daughter of the Vice President Oludamilola Osinbajo found love and solace in themselves as they are both walking down the aisle. According to a source close to Hajia Shagaya, told CITYSPY that; “Hajia is a liberal-minded woman, who would do anything in her capacity to support any of her kids. Everybody is aware that she is a close ally of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Jonathan’s family. Her son Seun wants to marry Vice President Yemi and Dolapo Osinbajo daughter, Oludamilola from an adversary All Progressive Congress (APC) party. But as a woman who believes in love and peace, she threw her weight behind her son despite the differences between her and the APC government. It is no longer news that; she was probed severally through the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged money laundry, siphoning billions of dollars in her account believed to be owned by former first lady Patience Jonathan. Even an embargo was placed on her account severally which was orchestrated by this current government. But trust me, Hajia is unperturbed, She is more focused on the success of the wedding; as well as guiding the two lovebirds to building a successful home after wedding.”
