Nigerian music star Davido has responded sharply to criticism from singer T-Dot, who accused him of relying on his father’s wealth amid a growing online dispute involving DJ Tunez.
The controversy is part of an ongoing social media exchange between Davido and DJ Tunez, who serves as the official disc jockey for Wizkid.
Tension escalated after DJ Tunez posted a photo of Wizkid in gym wear with the caption “Original, no be fake,” a remark many social media users interpreted as a subtle jab at Davido, who had earlier shared a similar outfit.
Davido reacted angrily, firing back at the DJ with posts that mocked him and referenced a past incident involving DJ Tunez and Burna Boy, where the DJ was allegedly overpowered during a confrontation.
In his response, Davido used insulting language directed at DJ Tunez, further intensifying the online exchange.
Singer T-Dot later joined the discussion, defending DJ Tunez and claiming he was not defeated in the incident. He alleged that the DJ was outnumbered but still showed courage during the confrontation.
However, T-Dot also took aim at Davido, describing him as someone who depends on his father’s wealth and security rather than personal struggle or independence.
Davido, in a series of posts on X, dismissed the claims as outdated and responded directly to T-Dot. He accused the singer of repeating a “stale narrative” about his background and insulted him in return, suggesting his comments were driven by personal frustration.
The exchange has since continued to generate reactions online, with fans of the involved artists engaging in heated debates across social media platforms.
