Since the shocking Instagram post of erstwhile Olori Naomi Shilekunola where she called off her nuptial with the revered Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the post generated mixed reaction from all angles as many faulted the former Olori Naomi’s for not doing the right thing before coming to social media to vent her anger and also call off her union to the youthful monarch.
Ever since the issue, some sponsored bloggers feasted on it by blowing it out of proportion; thereby making some disparaging comments about the King. Those close to Ooni Adeyeye disclosed that Kabiyesi could not believe he deserved such treatment from someone he loved so dearly. “Olori Naomi’s act on social media came as a big shock to Kabiyesi. He is just a man with the heart of a Lion and a fighter. He loved Olori Naomi unconditionally and would go to any length to make sure she is alright. To the extent that he extended his love to her immediate family as he did everything to establish and made them comfortable. In Yoruba land, the King must not look or act like a weakling. He must remain strong and firm at all times that’s why many didn’t see how Kabiyesi felt when the issue went viral. According to sources close to the palace, all the women allegedly living in the palace chalet have been ordered to evacuate with immediate effect. “Ooni needs peace around him. Those living in the palace currently with Kabiyesi are his domestic staffs only.”
