It was a tragic moment last year September, as the whole country was thrown into disbelief, when the news of the shocking demise of Federal Lawmaker, Ms Funke Adedoyin, representing Irepodun/Oke-Ero/Isin/Ekiti Federal Constituency of Kwara state at the green chambers broke. It came as a big shock to her colleagues, families, supporters and well wishers who cried profusely in sober mood. Her death, we gathered came after a long battle with cancer during the heat of the 2019 general elections.
Drawing a line from the bible verse In Proverb 10:7, that; “The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot”. On Saturday September 28th, the former Minister of Health for state during the Olusegun Obasanjo era, was remembered by stylish billionaire business mogul, Princess Fifi Ejindu at a private gathering held in her memory at her Abuja palatial residence. It was gathered that; over 30 close ally of the deceased were present to celebrate the late seasoned lawmaker.

A close source divulged that; “The informal remembrance service was used as an opportunity to pray and reflect on the lifetime of our dear friend and buddy Funke Adedoyin. Funke was a kind soul. The gathering was an informal one as we friends converged in Abuja in her honour just to reminisce on moments we were privileged to share together, while she was alive. It was a very emotional gathering as we had a very big portrait of her, bouquets of flowers and cakes to celebrate her. We cried, sang, prayed and appreciated her. It’s a priceless private moment, we kept away from the media all this while. We hope that God in his infinite mercies, grant her eternal rest in the world after”.
