The family of late Nollywood star, Alexx Ekubo, has released details of his funeral arrangements, with burial activities scheduled to conclude on June 18, 2026.
The actor reportedly passed away on May 11 after a battle with kidney cancer.
In an obituary statement shared on his Instagram page on Monday, the family appealed to friends, fans, and well-wishers to remember the late actor, his wife, and the entire family in their prayers during the mourning period.
According to the funeral programme, a service of songs will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at The Monarch Event Centre in Lekki, Lagos, between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Guests attending the event are expected to wear white outfits.
Wake Keep Holds In Abia
The wake keep is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 7 Ekubo-Okwaraeke Avenue, Aziukwukwa, Ujari Village, Arochukwu, Abia State.
Funeral service and interment will take place on Thursday, June 18, 2026.
The church service will be held at Mary Slessor School, while the late actor will be laid to rest at the family residence in Arochukwu, Abia State.
The family also announced that a reception would follow immediately after the interment at Mary Slessor School, Amanagwu Village, Arochukwu.
Attendees at the funeral events have also been asked to appear in white attire.
