The 21st of December 2017 at Abeokuta, The Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun under the umbrella of the presidential task force on Agricultural commodities and production, led by Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu, officially launched The Mitros Ofada Rice which is set to be distributed across the state at a give away price.
The Mitros rice is made up of Nerica 8 and Faro brands, with short and long grain planted, harvested and processed exclusively by the Ogun state government in collaboration with small holder farmers in the gateway state. The Governor Of Central Bank Mr Godwin Emefiele was present at the official Launching as he commended the giant strides by Ogun state to further diversify from Oil and tap into agriculture which will further strengthen our Economy.
