If the information reaching CITYSPY is anything to go by, it appears that Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, is in a hurry to finish work on some of his personal projects before his government winds up.
The rumour became rife following the completion of his palatial bullet proof mansion located at First Avenue, Ibara Housing Estate in Ogun State, a development that is fast turning the upscale estate to a tourist site.
A source revealed that the house is fitted with some very expensive pieces of furnitures and interior decorations imported from oversea. The house was launched shortly before his daughter’s wedding to Abike Dabiri’s son few month ago.
CITYSPY further gathered that another property linked to the Governor that might soon be completed is the nine-storey architectural masterpiece edifice located opposite the Ibara Bridge. The building is a proposed shopping complex allegedly built for the governor’s wife, Olufunso.
No doubt, Amosun is one of the most influential governors in Nigeria today. It is believed that his growing influence may not be unconnected to his cordial relationship with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Though his administration is currently actualizing some road projects across the state which he is getting kudos for. He has embarked on the demolition of some illegal structure across the state; the recent one is the demolition of properties worth millions of Naira at the ever bubbling MKO Abiola stadium recreation centre without prior notice of evacuation of goods and properties. Civil servants in the rocky state have allegedly continued to lament the arrears of unpaid salaries and other allowances by the state government.
The governor as gathered is also fast becoming one of the richest men in the country with his stupendous wealth and love for vanity. “The governor is hurriedly acquiring wealth as if it is going out of fashion even though the people of his state are living in abject poverty’’ Our source divulged.
