Away from his quantum of controversy, he is widely loved and adored by his people for his sheer generosity and concern for their development and wellbeing.
In commemoration of his 10th coronation anniversary, the ancient town of Ugbo will come alive on the 7th of November, as the anniversary kick-starts with a free medical outreach across Ugbo land. Mammoth crowd is expected to benefit from the free eye test, blood pressure and blood sugar test etc.
On Friday the 8th of November, marks the “Oghonne Cultural Day”, a cultural parade to mark the rich and colourful culture of the Ugbo people. They would showcase to the world their costumes and apparels, folksongs, native food, native dance among other cultural display. The special cultural parade will feature the best of Community and Secondary School cultural troops in Ugbo.
Saturday 9th of November, marks the grand finale of the coronation anniversary celebration. The King will appear in his full royal robe and crown and will wine and dine with his people, as well as celebrate his peaceful reign as the king of the riverine town.
