
Despite contesting and not winning the 2015 gubernatorial election under the UPN platform, Otunba Rotimi Paseda is not relenting in extending his kind gestures to the good people of Ogun state. Many of his critic claims his political ambition served as a catalyst to his philanthropic gestures. Amid this allegations by his critics, the top businessman has debunked the lingering rumour claiming his gestures were borne our of sheer passion for humanitarian growth.
The Omu-Ijebu born businessman has a non-governmental socio-cultural group, named Paseda Women Forum (PWF), a wing of his Otunba Rotimi Paseda Foundation (ORPF). In a quest to keep alleviating poverty and further empower Ogun state indigenes in this poor economic condition, the PWF made available N10 million as a takeoff soft loans aimed at improving female gender in the Gateway State.
CITYSPY gathered that; thousands of market women and petty traders from the three senatorial district of the rocky state converged at the Onikolobo, Abeokuta, Ogun State Secretariat of the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN), on September 25, 2017, to benefit from the interest-free soft loan made available by the 2015 Ogun State gubernatorial candidate of the UPN.
