Oxygen X Finance Company has taken its “Right Where You Are” campaign to traders and small business owners at CMS and Obalende markets in Lagos, bringing its message of accessible credit closer to people at their places of work.
The activation, held on September 18, 2026, allowed the Oxygen X team to engage directly with traders, entrepreneurs and other Nigerians about their financial needs and the role of credit in running and growing small businesses.
During the engagement, traders discussed challenges such as restocking goods, managing daily cash flow, meeting business expenses and raising funds to take advantage of new opportunities.
The company said the campaign is built around the belief that access to credit should be made easier for people who need financing to support their businesses and personal needs.
Speaking during the activation, Emmanuella Awogu, Brand Manager at Oxygen X, said there was a need to reduce the gap between Nigerians and formal credit facilities.
“We need to close the gap in access to formal credit,” Awogu said.
She noted that many neighbourhood shop owners, food vendors and market traders operate viable businesses but may not have the paperwork, banking history or other requirements that make it easy to obtain loans from conventional lenders.
According to her, Oxygen X is working to make credit more accessible by using its digital platforms and agent network to bring financing closer to customers.
“Our role is to make credit more accessible. Through our digital channels and agent network, we are bringing loans closer to customers, so they do not have to leave their businesses or endure long waits to access financing,” she said.
“We want people to know that when they need credit, Oxygen X is right where they are.”
Backed by Access Holdings Plc, Oxygen X provides personal, Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME), business and working capital loans to individuals and businesses.
Customers can apply for loans through the Oxygen X mobile application and website, while its growing network of agents is expanding access to financial services across different communities and markets.
The company is also expanding access to Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) financing through its OxygenNow platform. The service enables customers to purchase goods and spread payments over an agreed period.
Oxygen X said its growing BNPL partner network includes Thermocool, Orca Mall, Konga, Redington and Izifin Technologies.
The CMS and Obalende market engagement is part of the wider “Right Where You Are” campaign, which seeks to take the company’s credit services beyond digital platforms and directly into communities where Nigerians live, work and conduct their businesses.
Through the campaign, Oxygen X is engaging people in markets and other business locations to better understand their financial needs while creating awareness about available credit options.
For traders, access to financing can help with purchasing additional stock, while small business owners may use working capital loans to manage cash flow and support business expansion.
Individuals can also access personal loans to meet various financial needs, subject to the company’s lending requirements.
Oxygen X said its objective is to make credit more accessible and convenient for everyday Nigerians by meeting customers in the communities where they conduct their daily activities.
The company believes that access to responsible financing can help individuals and businesses manage their financial needs and pursue opportunities for growth.
