The founder of Omega Power Ministries, Chibuzor Chinyere, has pledged financial and material support to any man prepared to marry his adopted daughter, Chiemeka Chibuzor.
The cleric made the disclosure in a Facebook post on Tuesday, stating that the decision was motivated by his desire to ensure the young woman’s long-term care and happiness. Chiemeka, 21, is autistic but is able to communicate and hear.
As part of the arrangement, Chinyere said any interested suitor must be young and medically fit, both physically and mentally. In return, he promised a range of benefits, including lifetime financial assistance, free housing, and a property to be jointly owned by the couple.
He also revealed that representatives of the church would carry out periodic, unannounced visits to monitor the woman’s welfare and ensure she is properly cared for.
The pastor explained that the initiative is aimed at providing a stable and supportive environment where his daughter can live a fulfilled and protected life.
The offer follows a similar initiative by the cleric, who recently facilitated the marriage of a non-verbal autistic man known as Aboy to an older woman in a ceremony held on March 29.
That development attracted mixed reactions, with some members of the public raising concerns over consent, dignity, and the broader ethics of arranging marriages for individuals with cognitive disabilities.
Responding to the backlash, Chinyere later rewarded the man—now renamed Elijah—with a Lexus car and a plot of land, and appointed him as an ambassador for the church’s free school for children living with autism and Down syndrome.
