A source close to the Governor and the former senator confirmed to CITYSPY that ”Senator Ita-giwa and Governor Ben Ayade are in cordial relationship. Everybody is aware that they both share filial relationship. Governor Ayade still holds Mama Bakassi in high esteem. The duo lately, often attend the planning committee meeting for the forthcoming Calabar carnival holding this December. Senator Ita-Giwa and Governor Ben Ayade are both members of the committee as they are often seen together laughing, exchanging ideas and pleasantries together in the single motive of moving the carnival and state foward. I will tell you authoritatively that; they are both fine with their relationship they have put their differences behind them and moved foward. There is no fracas between them.”
