When pop artiste, Iyanya pulled out of Tripple MG record Label; a label he co-owned alongside entrepreneur Ubi Franklin, many fans thought his success story was going to elevate to an enviable height. CITYSPY gathered from a source that producer and songwriter Tekno was the real reason he quitted from the label.
After pulling out of TrippleMG, his sojourn, musically, further deteriorated. He was unable to score a hit song. To the chagrin of his fans, he later found refuge and pitched tent with Donjazzy’s owned Mavin records. Many pundits had thought his struggling musical career was going to receive life with the magic touch from Donjazzy; but Iyanya failed to replicate the stuff he was made off. He churned out a lot of mediocere singles with no hit recorded. He became a shadow of its old self, struggling for relevancy like an upcoming artiste.
After a year he was unveiled under Don Jazzy’s Mavin records, things we learnt, fell apart between them, as the center could no longer hold. Donjazzy and Iyanya both played matured, not making their purported brouhaha open to the public.
Today 7th of February, Iyanya finally broke the silence as he divulged on Beat FM99.9, that he’s no longer signed onto Mavin record label. In his words, he said; “I’m now signed to Temple Music but I’m a Mavin for life. There was no beef. I was there and it was time to move on. The new label i am currently signed unto “Temple Music” was launched in August 2017, which currently houses 9ice, Bisola Aiyeola, DJ Jimmy Jatt, among other as its acts.”
