Clueless and confused, are both words that best describes Senator Lanre Tejuosho, A serving senator representing Ogun Central at the upper National Assembly. A lot seem to have being going well for him, not until, he decided with 14 other senators to quit the ruling, All Progressive Congress (APC), for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). The Chairman Senate committee on health, was said to have made a big mistake as most of his supporters and god father kicked against the move, knowing how complex and delicate the politics of Ogun state is. After the backlash from his teeming supporters, who showed their displeasure over his defection, Senator Lanre took to his twitter page few days after to pronounce that He is still a member of the ruling APC.
Another factor not clear to many is the Senator Ibikunle Amosun’s factor. According to the latest political permutations, Senator Lanre might be vacating his seat at the red chambers in 2019 for Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, who would be seeking a re-elections back to the red chambers in 2019 after he left in 2007.
According to a close source who told CITYSPY the reason senator Lanre returned back to APC, ”When Senator Lanre announced his defection with other senator to the PDP, Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun reached out to Senator Lanre, telling his to reverse the move quickly. Amosun was instrumental in the emergence of Lanre as a Senator representing Ogun Central. As a sitting governor, who owns the APC party structure in the state, he has a say over what happens in his senatorial district”
It no news that; Ibikunle Amosun is a close ally with President Buhari, as at today, Amosun remains the most powerful Governor in Nigeria. Some close Aso-rock sources divulged that; ”Governor Amosun does not need the President’s approval to visit Aso-rock, he is always welcome. He is the only Governor who can make president Buhari change his stand on some national issues. That’s to show you how influential and well respected he is.” ”If President Buhari is re-elected in 2019, Governor Amosun will be part of his ministerial cabinet.” The source added.
