Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known by his stage name Ogogo, has died following a battle with cancer, according to a social media post.
It was disclosed on Sunday in an Instagram post by Regina Chikwu, also on live intagram feed by his daughter, Kira Taiwo Hassan.
Ogogo, 66, had been battling stage-four cancer for weeks, with his daughters making emotional public appeals for medical help after the hospital treating him reportedly discontinued chemotherapy. The family has previously pushed back against premature death rumours circulating online, insisting the actor was still alive and fighting.
