Lagos Internal Revenue Service LIRS boss, Ayodele Hamzat Subair has continued to fly high with his intimidating resume and track record as a seasoned economist with vast knowledge in; Government and Non-Government organizations, Banking, Oil & gas exploration, Insurance companies, Trading concerns, Multinational courier and logistics companies, Securities companies, Finance, Investment and Leasing companies and Manufacturing.
Meeting him for the first time, the Bachelor of Arts degree holder in Economics from the Metropolitan University of Manchester and an MBA from the University of Lagos will surely dazzle you with his spontaneous knowledge in finance, accountancy and tax-related topic.
Kick-starting his professional career at the international firm of Price Waterhouse in 1982, He joined Hamzat Subair, Folami & Co Chartered Accountants in 1987 as a Manager and then Partner where his taxation and management consultancy experience gathered momentum. As LIRS boss, despite economic challenges in the country, Subair proved cynics wrong by creating and executing programmes by implementing strategies to develop, impact and maintain revenue generation and collection in Lagos state.
Last weekend, the cosmopolitan highly cerebral Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria stepped out for the traditional wedding ceremony of Ololade and Olufemi Mobolaji in Lagos. Many who had only seen him in the line of duty were surprised that he is also a social person who loves to unwind outside the four walls of his office. He was seen enjoying at the party in the company of NNPC top shot, Bolaji Disu and Businessman Toyin Pinero, fully decked in his white native Agbada with wine cap looking cosmopolitan. His table was the cynosure of all eyes as people came to pay homage to the tax man. He was seen smiling all through as he enjoyed music from the event.
