The founder of LoveWorld Incorporated (Christ Embassy), Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has made comments about Nigeria’s 2027 general elections, claiming spiritual revelations concerning three leading presidential candidates.
In a viral video addressing his congregation, Oyakhilome said he held the three candidates in high regard, describing them as people who had contributed positively to the country, but said certain things he had seen “in the spirit” could not be ignored.
“Each one of them is somebody that I have great respect for. Make no mistakes about it, I like these guys. These are wonderful people who have done a lot for our country… but you have to look in the spirit,” he said.
First candidate “used by a dark spirit”
On the first candidate, Oyakhilome claimed to have seen what he described as a wicked spirit operating through him without his knowledge.
He said that during prayer, he heard the candidate referred to by a name he later looked up โ “jackal” โ which he said he understood to mean a deceptive figure acting on behalf of another.
Second candidate linked to a dire warning
The cleric said he also sought clarity on the second candidate and claimed to have received a warning that Nigeria would cease to exist as a nation if the candidate were elected.
Third candidate described as fearful but blessed
On the third candidate, Oyakhilome said he saw a man who was afraid of both losing and winning, and prayed for him to be given “wings to fly.”
Oyakhilome declined to name the first two candidates, citing the sensitivity of his position, but said the third candidate’s name appears in the Bible. He called on Nigerians to pray for the country ahead of the elections.
“Because of what it was, I won’t mention the name [of the first candidate], neither will I mention the name of the second, but the third one, his name is in the Bible, so I want you to pray for your country,” he said.
