The Federal Government has announced a new funding opportunity for young Nigerian entrepreneurs through the NiYA × Cascador Founders Programme, a four-week initiative aimed at helping emerging business owners strengthen their operations and prepare for investment.
The programme is being implemented by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development in partnership with Cascador and Sapphital, with 20 young entrepreneurs expected to be selected for the pilot cohort.
At the end of the programme, eight outstanding participants will be eligible to receive up to ₦5 million each in non-dilutive funding from Cascador.
The selected beneficiaries will also receive an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution designed to help improve business management, organisation and growth.
According to the programme structure, participants will undergo training and mentorship sessions focused on developing stronger business fundamentals, improving investment readiness and preparing effective business pitches.
The four-week programme will include virtual engagements, mentorship activities and a final Pitch Day, where participants’ business ideas and progress will be assessed.
However, being selected among the 20 participants does not automatically guarantee funding. Only the eight top-performing founders will be considered for the ₦5 million grant, subject to the programme’s assessment and funding requirements.
Applicants are expected to provide accurate personal and business information during registration. Organisers may verify the information provided, while applicants found to have submitted false or misleading details could be disqualified.
How to Apply
Interested young Nigerian entrepreneurs can apply through the NiYA × Cascador Founders Programme application portal.
Applicants are required to create a profile, provide the necessary personal and business details, complete the application form and submit it for consideration.
Successful applicants must also be prepared to participate fully throughout the four-week programme, including the training, mentorship sessions and pitch activities.
The programme is powered by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, while Cascador serves as the funder/donor and Sapphital is the implementing partner.
