When her union to the revered Ile-Ife Monarch was announced over three years ago, many jubilated that a very young Prophetess Naomi Shilekunola is finally filling up the lacuna created by erstwhile queen Zaynab Otiti-Obanor who left the house of Oduduwa due to irreconcilable differences between her and the Ooni of Ife. Naomi came into the picture as many averred that how can an Akure-based prophetess cope with the tradition and cultural proceedings required of her in the House of Oduduwa. But without wasting much time she blended well as she was loved by all sundry within the palace because of her meek and respectful nature.
To crown it all, she gave the Ooni of Ife a crown prince named after the legendary Ooni of Ife; and Governor of South West, Ooni Tiadenikawo who was a known technocrat and a cerebral royalty to the core. This we gathered further sealed a large space in the heart of her hubby who did everything humanly possible to ensure she is comfortable. All her request was granted as Kabiyesi ensured that she never lacked anything good as he also empowered their family financially setting them up with a beautiful apartment in Akure and also ensured that while Olori Silekuola was away for her ministry work everything was taken care of.
She came under fire last week when she released an epistle on her verified Instagram account setting some facts right and also disclosed that she has relinquished her role as an Olori to the youthful Ife Monarch and also wants to go back fully to her ministerial work. The long message came as a shock to many and didn’t come as a shock to some most especially after her absence from the palace on her hubby’s 6th coronation Anniversary on the 7th of December. Sources averred that; she has regretted heavily posting such messages on social media calling off her union to the king rather than address issues personally with the king. She is constantly weeping profusely all day. After the incident, she was heavily reprimanded by her mother whom many thoughts orchestrated her exit from the palace. “She is finding every means to control the damage. Those who used to flock around her have deserted her as she is now facing reality. She attempted to visit the King who was in Lagos for the 3 days Music concert held at Muson center in the company of her family members but she was advised not to visit.”
A close source averred that; She has placed several calls to people to help her beg her former husband but those she called didn’t respond well. Many who should have come to her aid are staying away from the issue as they find it demeaning for an Olori to bridge protocols and throw the house in a bad light. “Everybody we called to help plead on her behalf refused vehemently even palace chiefs and those close to the King are distancing themselves from that reconciliation move. The three sisters of the King have also steered clear of the impending issue as she was asked to carry her cross. According to Ile-Ife tradition, the Olori is not only married to the King, but She is also married and accountable to the people of Ife. The reason she is still being allowed to hover around is because of Prince Tiadenikawo if not for that her request would have been granted.”
CITYSPY gathered that; all aides, security details attached to her have been withdrawn and she is running from pillar to post to make sure she regains her home. The king is still mum over the issues as we gathered that the reconciliation meeting is still ongoing.
