Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, has announced the birth of his son, months after regaining his freedom from prison.
The actor shared the news on Instagram on Monday, posting maternity photographs of himself and his wife as he celebrated the newest addition to their family.
Expressing gratitude to God, Baba Ijesha revealed that the newborn has been named King Kagar Omiyinka. He described the child as a special blessing and thanked God for granting his family a healthy baby boy.
In his post, the actor wrote that God had been working behind the scenes and blessing his family in ways beyond his expectations. He also paid tribute to his wife, praising her strength and acknowledging her role as the mother of their son.
The announcement was met with an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fans, friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry, many of whom took to the comment section to celebrate the couple.
Baba Ijesha was released from prison in November 2025 after serving a jail term following his conviction in a child sexual assault case.
Since his release, the actor has repeatedly maintained his innocence regarding the allegations, insisting that he is neither a paedophile nor a rapist. He has claimed that he was set up in circumstances that eventually led to his imprisonment.
He reiterated his position during an interview with veteran broadcaster Yinka Ayefele on Fresh FM on March 22, 2026, where he disputed the conviction and spoke about the events surrounding the case.
