Davido has mocked NURTW President Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, after the union boss kicked against Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke’s ban on NURTW operations in the state.
Adeleke suspended the union’s activities across motor parks in Osun over the weekend, halted levy collection, and ordered security agencies to arrest anyone operating under the union’s name. The move followed violent clashes between rival factions of the union.
MC Oluomo, represented by his deputy, Aliyu Issa Ore, rejected the governor’s directive at the inauguration of a seven-man committee set up to manage parks and garages in the state. He insisted no state governor has the power to suspend the union’s activities.
“Not a single state governor has the power to suspend the activities of the union, because we are not under any state,” he said.
Davido, who is Governor Adeleke’s nephew, responded on X, taking a jab at MC Oluomo’s grasp of English. He wrote that MC Oluomo can’t even form a proper sentence, and sarcastically thanked him for the effort.
The exchange adds to the growing tension between the Adeleke administration and NURTW leadership over control of Osun’s motor parks.
