Nigerian-British businessman and associate of singer Davido, Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, popularly known as Ego, has died in Thailand following complications from a penis enlargement procedure.
An inquest at the Inner West London Coroner’s Court heard that the 43-year-old had 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine injected into his penis while on a luxury vacation in Thailand with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, in March 2026.
According to TMZ, Ego was staying at a Marriott hotel in Bangkok after the procedure when he complained of chest pain and reportedly passed out twice. He was rushed to Sukhumvit Hospital, where his wife informed doctors about the filler injections. However, he lost consciousness before a recommended CT scan could be carried out.
Doctors later determined that Ego had suffered a pulmonary embolism — a blockage of a blood vessel in the lungs — and he was moved to intensive care. Medics performed CPR for more than 100 minutes, but he died in the early hours of March 6.
A postmortem examination conducted in the United Kingdom reportedly found cellular material in his lungs matching the hyaluronic acid used during the procedure. Coroner Jean Harkin ruled that Ego died from a pulmonary embolism caused by the cosmetic procedure.
Speaking at his funeral, Davido described his death as “heavy,” saying the events “don’t feel real.”
Lagos socialite Cubana Chief Priest also paid tribute to the deceased in a since-shared video from the funeral, writing that London “stood still” for him and celebrating the life he lived.
