Nigerian disc jockey, DJ Tunez, has broken his silence following a recent altercation with Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy, alleging that the singer physically attacked him during the incident.
The clash, which was captured on video, has been circulating widely on social media, triggering mixed reactions from fans and industry observers.
Taking to his social media page on X (formerly Twitter), DJ Tunez claimed that the confrontation escalated after Burna Boy allegedly struck him from behind. He further alleged that he was confronted by multiple individuals but managed to defend himself despite being outnumbered.
The incident has since drawn the attention of the Nigerian DJ Association, which issued a statement urging DJs nationwide to maintain professionalism and promote peaceful relationships within the entertainment space.
As part of its response, the association announced a temporary suspension of Burna Boy’s music among its members while investigations into the matter continue. It also stressed the need for mutual respect between DJs and performing artists at events.
At the time of filing this report, Burna Boy and his management team have not released any official statement addressing the allegations.
