The name Mudiaga Enajemo, the head honcho of ‘MUDI AFRICA’ is synonymous to fashion. He didn’t just seal the top spot by accident. He sealed it through sheer dint of hard work, resilience, doggedness and patience. He still holds the record as the first Fashion designer in Nigeria to have his billboard erected across Nigeria. He also has a street ‘Mudi Lane’ named after him in Lagos.
When the Delta state born Fashion icon arrived Lagos in 1990, in search of a greener pasture, little did he know that fashion was going to make heads way for him. It took candid advice friends to make him take fashion and styling seriously. Apart from fashion and styling, Mudi loves Antiquing. He loves to take collection of old and vintages materials. Take a trip to his Anthony Villiage Office, Lagos, an array of vintage collections of automobile parked at his garage will catch your fancy.
He is a near perfectionist, with eye for quality. Despite having up scale branches littered across African countries like; Kenya, Ghana, Senegal, Ivory coast and the rest, he recently took Abuja unaware, attracting heavy weights from major sectors of the society. Mudi Africa Abuja relaunch event, had in attendance legendary actor and media entrepreneuer, Mr Richard Mofe Damijo, who supported the brand from the cradle, Honourable minister of state for health, Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora, Minister of state for Labour, Barrister Festus Keyamo who also doubles as Mudi’s child hood friend from Ughelli, Delta state, The minister for works and housing, Barr Babatunde Fashola (SAN) was represented by his media spokesperson, Alhaji Hakeem Bello.
