Mrs Olufunso Amosun, the delectable wife of the Governor Of Ogun state, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, is on the march again!!!. Trust me, she is making a landmark achievement in her capacity as first lady. Olufunso has been on the forefront of empowering the female folks and girl-child. she is an advocate for a better and healthy living among women living within the rocky state.
Olufunso in October 2012, kicked started her campaign using her ‘Uplift Development Foundation’ as a bait to reach out to women with breast and cervical cancer. She organised a sensitization programme in four different location in Ogun state at no cost. She also extended her helping hands to the female students from different tertiary institutions across the state; where they all benefited immensely on the measures to detect and prevent the deadly disease.
In her quest to keep impacting women across Ogun state, Mrs. Amosun’s Uplift Development Foundation this month of October is focusing on female professionals and civil/public servants. The programme was organised at the Uplift Development Foundation Cancer Screening Centres in Ota, Ijaiye and Sagamu respectively between October 2 and 4, 2017.
CITYSPY gathered that, Mrs. Amosun charged participants at the events to take action to curb breast and cervical cancer by availing themselves of the free screenings to know their health status so that the risk of these diseases could be drastically nipped in the bud. She enjoined women across the three senatorial districts to visit any of the Uplift Development Foundation Cancer Screening Centres closer to them throughout the month of October, 2017 and beyond for free screening and treatment.
The wife of the governor also assured that all the cases of the breast lumps will be attended to during the Third Edition of the Annual Free Lumpectomy Surgery scheduled to take place between October 26 and 27, 2017 at the Uplift Development Foundation Cancer Screening Centre in Sagamu.
